Quick setup and use
- Kullanım kılavuzunu okuyun and ensure you understand the warnings and instructions before use.
- Kullanıma hazırlanın: tüm ambalajları çıkarın.
- Place the mattress directly on the bed mattress support, or place the mattress overlay on the existing mattress.
- Allow rolled products to recover before use; follow the packaging insert instructions.
- Ensure correct orientation: make sure the printed side of the mattress cover faces upwards.
- Maintain required clearance: ensure the distance between the surface of the mattress and the top of the side rail is at least 220 mm.
- Keep the cover on: the mattress must be used with the cover at all times.
- Reposition regularly: insufficient repositioning can lead to tissue compression and potential injury formation; the patient (or caregiver) must reposition on a regular basis.
Sorun giderme
- If the product shows defects: before use, check for defects; do not use a defective product.
- If there is fluid ingress, stains, rips, or damage (“strike-through”): after each patient use and at least monthly (whichever occurs first), inspect foam and cover. Replace any damaged cover or stained foam.
- If the cover is damaged with holes: there is a risk liquids may ingress and contaminate the mattress—ensure the mattress is not jammed or damaged by sharp edges and do not use sharp instruments/objects on or under the mattress.
- After contamination: contact a hygiene specialist; remove contaminated foams from use.
- If disinfection may have failed: ensure all cleaning agents and disinfectants are thoroughly rinsed off and dry thoroughly before use, since failure in disinfection can accumulate reagents that may damage the polyurethane coating or negate biocompatibility results.
- If you find damage or malfunction: do not reuse the product and follow the replacement/reconditioning steps only when appropriate.
SSS
- Must the mattress be used with the cover on?
- Yes. The manual states that the mattress must be used with the cover at all times.
- What should I do before using the mattress for the first time?
- Remove all packaging, check the product for defects, ensure the printed side of the cover faces upwards, place it correctly on the bed support (or as an overlay), allow rolled products to recover, and ensure the distance to the side rail is at least 220 mm.
- How often should the mattress be inspected and how?
- Check for strike-through (e.g., fluid ingress, stains, rips, or damage) after each patient and on a minimum monthly basis (depending on which occurs first) by a suitably qualified and competent person. For overlays, unzip the cover completely and inspect staining on the white underside and interior foam.
- How is the Essential Touch mattress different?
- Essential Touch has double-sided castellated foam that allows the mattress to be turned or rotated inside the cover for increased product longevity.
- Can the mattress be reused for another user?
- Yes. It is suitable for reuse, but it must be reconditioned for a new user by performing inspection per the service plan and cleaning and disinfection as described in the maintenance section. If any damage or malfunction is detected, do not reuse.
