Before initial use, manually wind the mainspring to start the movement. Unscrew the crown (if applicable) to position 1, turn clockwise 5 to 20 times until you feel slight resistance, then securely screw the crown back in. Wear it for at least 8 hours a day to keep it fully wound.
An automatic watch is powered by wrist movement. If it stops overnight or loses time, it is likely not fully wound. You can gently move the watch side to side 20 to 30 times or manually wind the crown 5 to 10 times to re-engage the rotor.
Always ensure the screw-down crown is deeply and securely screwed into the case before exposing the watch to water. Never unscrew or operate the crown or push buttons underwater. Avoid wearing your watch in hot showers or steam rooms to prevent internal condensation.
Unscrew the crown and pull it out to the first click. Turn it to set the correct date, then push it back completely and securely screw it in. Do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM to avoid damaging the internal date-changing mechanism.
