3. Kurulum
3.1. Kurulum Yerini Seçin
Consider the following when selecting your installation location:
- For locations far from the wireless router (weak Wi-Fi signal coverage): It is recommended to power the doorbell and provide network connection using the PoE method. The distance between the doorbell and the chime should be kept within 30m (when separated by only one wall with a thickness of ≤24cm).
- For locations close to the wireless router (good Wi-Fi signal coverage): You can use low-voltage power (8-24V AC or DC) at the door position to power the doorbell, while connecting the doorbell to the router via your Wi-Fi network. The doorbell supports a dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 network, with a distance controlled within 15m (when separated by only one wall with thickness ≤ 24cm). You can adjust the signal strength at the door by moving the position of the indoor wireless router.
3.2. Kurulum Yüksekliği
The recommended installation height for the doorbell is 1.3-1.4 meters from the ground to the top edge of the doorbell. The lower the installation position, the smaller the vertical blind spot. Power supply options are flexible; choose based on your requirements. Provided exampBunlar sadece referans amaçlıdır.
3.3. Power Off Warning
WARNING: Please make sure the main circuit breaker is turned off before installation. Try turning devices powered by it on to confirm the power is off.
Disclaimer: The instruction is intended for users who are familiar with electrical installation. We always advise you to contact a professional electrician and only use these instructions as a reference.
3.4. Choose a Mounting Method
You can choose between Drill-and-anchor Mounting or Adhesive Mounting.
- Drill-and-anchor Mounting: Suitable for use when the installation surface is uneven or when there are high requirements for the overall stability of the device.
- Yapışkan Montaj: Adhesive mounting is suitable for installation on wooden doors, tiles, or other flat surfaces where drilling holes is not convenient.
3.4.1. Adhesive Mounting (No Wedge)
- Mark the adhesive area using the bracket as a guide.
- Remove the backing from the adhesive on the back of the backplate bracket.
- Firmly attach the entire bracket assembly to a flat wall surface, and press down firmly.
- Align the bottom of the doorbell with the backplate bracket, then snap the entire doorbell onto the bracket assembly.
3.4.2. Adhesive Mounting (Using 15° Wedge)
The wedge bracket supports adjustment in both left and right directions; simply flip the wedge bracket 180° to adjust the left or right rotation direction to decide camera view angled to the left or right.
- Mark the adhesive area using the 15° wedge bracket as a guide.
- Remove the backing from the adhesive on the back of the wedge bracket and attach it to the wall surface firmly.
- Use the two shorter self-tapping screws (KB3×6×5.0 mm) from the accessories to securely fasten the wedge bracket and the backplate bracket together.
- Align the bottom of the doorbell with the backplate bracket, then snap the entire doorbell onto the bracket assembly.
3.4.3. Drill-and-anchor Mounting (No Wedge)
- Attach the mounting hole template to the installation surface and mark the drilling location.
- Drill at the two outer markers on the template. (6 mm drill bit required)
- Şablonu kaldırın.
- Hammer the anchors into the pre-drilled holes and secure the backplate firmly using the provided screws.
*For wood or lightweight surfaces, expansion anchors are not required. You may secure the bracket directly using self-tapping screws. Step 4 using anchor is for reference only.
3.4.4. Drill-and-anchor Mounting (Using 15° Wedge)
- Attach the mounting hole template to the installation surface and mark the drilling location.
- Drill at the two inner markers on the template. (6 mm drill bit required)
- Şablonu kaldırın.
- Hammer the anchors (6 mm drill bit required) into the pre-drilled holes and secure the 15° wedge firmly using the provided screws.
- Mount the backplate bracket.
- Align the bottom of the doorbell with the backplate bracket, then snap the entire doorbell onto the bracket assembly.
3.5. Choose a Power Supply Method
The G400 offers two power supply options:
- Düşük Hacimtage Güç Kaynağı
- PoE Güç Kaynağı
*NOTE: For the device to function using PoE power supply, it must be connected to a PoE-enabled source (such as a PoE switch or injector). A standard network port without PoE capability will not provide power to the device.
3.5.1. Düşük Hacimtage Power Supply Method
Using existing doorbell or transformer wires:
- Please first remove the default waterproof silicone plug installed on the back of the doorbell (the default plug is designed to accommodate PoE power supply, with a network cable groove on the back).
- Please select the fully enclosed waterproof silicone plug (without a network cable groove on the back), and snap it back into the groove on the back.
- Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the power terminal block.
- Insert the U-shaped wire extenders into the gap between the screw and the terminal block, then tighten the screws.
*Be careful to avoid short-circuiting the power wires: ensure the power wires do not touch each other.
After connecting the end of the extension cord to the main power line, secure the wire nut over the connection point of the two wires and twist it tight. Then, tuck the extension cord portion into the wall cavity.
3.5.2. PoE Power Supply Method
- Remove the default waterproof silicone plug installed on the back of the doorbell.
- Insert the network cable into the PoE port on the doorbell.
- Snap the silicone waterproof plug back into place, ensuring the surface is flat.
The network cable can be routed through the cable outlet at the bottom of the doorbell, or it can be folded into a U-shaped harness in the rear groove, adhering to the buried cable groove of the sealing plug, and finally passing through the wall via the wiring hole in the wall-mounted bracket.
Note: The silicone plug is for optional waterproofing. If it obstructs the network cable installation, it can be omitted.
3.6. Turn the Power Back On
Turn on the main circuit breaker. If the doorbell LED lights up and can be ringed, it is working properly.
