Follow these steps to properly install your INNOVA bicycle inner tube:
- **Remove the Wheel:** Detach the wheel from your bicycle frame.
- **Deflate and Remove Tire:** If the old tube is still inside, completely deflate it. Use tire levers to carefully pry one bead of the tire off the rim.
- **Remove Old Inner Tube:** Pull out the old inner tube. Inspect the inside of the tire for any sharp objects (thorns, glass, etc.) that might have caused the puncture. Run your fingers carefully along the inside of the tire.
- **Inspect Rim:** Check the rim strip to ensure it is properly seated and covers all spoke holes. Ensure there are no sharp edges on the rim.
- **Partially Inflate New Tube:** Lightly inflate your new INNOVA inner tube until it just holds its shape. This prevents it from pinching during installation.
- **Insert Valve:** Insert the valve of the new inner tube through the valve hole in the rim. Secure it with the valve nut if applicable, but do not overtighten.
- **Position Inner Tube:** Carefully tuck the partially inflated inner tube inside the tire casing, working your way around the rim. Ensure the tube is not twisted.
- **Mount Tire Bead:** Starting from the valve, work the second bead of the tire back onto the rim. Use your thumbs to push the tire bead into the rim channel. For the last section, you may need to use tire levers, being careful not to pinch the inner tube.
- **Check for Pinches:** Before fully inflating, push the tire beads towards the center of the rim on both sides, all the way around the wheel. This helps ensure the inner tube is not pinched between the tire bead and the rim.
- **Inflate Tire:** Slowly inflate the tire to the recommended pressure (usually indicated on the tire sidewall). As you inflate, periodically check that the tire beads are evenly seated on the rim.
- **Reinstall Wheel:** Reattach the wheel to your bicycle frame.
