1. Giriş

This manual provides essential information for the safe and correct installation, operation, and maintenance of your EDOSTORY 98-foot backyard zipline kit. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use. Retain this manual for future reference.

3.1 Site Seçimi

• Choose two sturdy, healthy trees with a diameter of at least 12 inches (30 cm) at the anchor points.
• Ensure the path between the trees is clear of obstacles, sharp objects, or hard surfaces.
• Maintain a safe landing area at the end of the zipline, free from hazards.

• Always wear the provided safety harness and ensure it is properly adjusted and secured before each ride.

4. Kurulum Talimatları

Follow these steps carefully to install your EDOSTORY zipline kit.

4.1 Tree Protection

Wrap the provided tree protectors around the anchor trees at the desired height. This prevents damage to the tree bark and extends the life of your zipline cable.

4.2 Main Cable Installation

1. Identify the starting and ending anchor points on your chosen trees. The starting point should be higher than the ending point to create the necessary slope for gravity to propel the rider. A general guideline is a 3-6% slope (e.g., for a 98-foot line, a 3-6 foot height difference).
2. Wrap the main cable around the starting tree, over the tree protector.
3. Secure one end of the main cable using a U-clamp, forming a loop around the tree.
4. Extend the main cable to the ending tree, ensuring it passes over the tree protector.
5. Attach the turnbuckle to the main cable at the ending tree. Wrap the cable around the tree and through the turnbuckle.
6. Use the remaining U-clamps to secure the cable ends, ensuring they are tightly fastened.

4.3 Cable Tensioning

Achieving proper cable tension is crucial for safe operation. The cable should be taut but allow for a slight sag when a rider is on it.

• Initially, pull the cable as tight as possible by hand and secure it with a U-clamp.
• Utilize a ratchet strap (not included) to further tighten the cable. Attach the ratchet strap to the cable near the ending tree.
• Once the ratchet strap is snug, slightly loosen the U-clamp(s) to allow the cable to slide.
• Ratchet the cable to the desired tension.

4.4 Spring Brake Installation

Install the 5.2 ft spring brake on the main cable near the ending tree. This provides a smooth and controlled stop for the rider.

4.5 Trolley, Harness, and Seat Attachment

1. Attach the trolley to the main cable.
2. Connect the safety strap to the trolley.
3. Attach the safety harness to the safety strap.
4. Alternatively, attach the seat with rope to the trolley if not using the harness.

Once the zipline is securely installed and inspected, follow these steps for operation:

1. Ensure the rider is wearing the safety harness correctly and it is securely attached to the trolley via the safety strap.
2. The rider should grasp the trolley handles firmly.
3. From the starting platform, push off gently to begin the ride.
4. Maintain a firm grip on the handles throughout the ride.
5. The spring brake will gradually slow the rider down as they approach the ending tree.
6. Once stopped, safely dismount from the zipline.

6. Bakım

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your zipline kit.

Address common issues that may arise during zipline use.

• Zipline Too Slow: Increase the height difference between the starting and ending points, or tighten the main cable using the turnbuckle. Ensure the trolley wheels are clean and lubricated.
• Zipline Too Fast: Decrease the height difference between the starting and ending points. Ensure the spring brake is correctly positioned and functioning.
• Cable Rubbing on Trolley: Inspect the trolley's cable channel. If the channel is too narrow or has burrs, it may cause friction. This might require filing the channel or replacing the trolley.
• Excessive Cable Sag: Re-tension the main cable using the turnbuckle and the ratchet strap method described in Section 4.3.
